Abstract
The National Guidelines for Preschool and First Cycle Education of 2012 attempt to respond to the complexity of the educational challenges of the new century. They are influenced by the thought of E. Morin while on the didactic level the presence of J. Dewey is felt. Pedagogy of complexity, active and inclusive teaching are therefore the foundations on which the entire structure of the Guidelines is based and which make them still extremely current.
