Abstract

The essay discusses the reasons behind the decision to hold a conference at the Collegio Ghisleri, Pavia, on 27 May 2023 and to publish in this journal the dossier that originated from this event, which was an occasion for exchange and discussion. The underlying idea was to gather together representatives (Presidents or their delegates) of national and international scientific societies, especially Italian and French, as well as researchers from different European countries (especially Italy, France and Germany) and from different scientific-disciplinary fields in order to put pedagogical analysis at the center of the debate as a subject of study, along with its impossible and hypercomplex objects, which are the result of constant transactions that necessarily take us beyond the institutional scientific-disciplinary boundaries. A problematization of the epistemic territory between theory and practice thus emerges, also starting from the dossier’s red threads and key themes.
