Abstract

Starting with a re-reading of a book by Ivan Illich titled Deschooling Society (1971), the essay discusses the changes we are experiencing in this particular moment in which the pandemic has significantly affected work and communication modes in all educational institutions and elsewhere. Some crucial themes of Illich's argument are then clarified in order to find interpretative keys for our contemporary teaching/learning dynamics, with an eye on the future.
