Abstract
This contribution, with an instructive purpose, advocates for an interpretation of the philosophy of education aimed at fostering the unity of pedagogical discourse. The first section, authored by Pierluigi Malavasi, establishes this foundation, while the second section, by Caterina Calabria, identifies a theoretical-regulative framework that substantiates this unifying ambition,specifically, the ecological imperative directed toward critically educating for the stewardship of our common home. Contemporaryenvironmental challenges necessitate an expansion of philosophy of education's scope, highlighting its significant relevance in current scientific debate.
