Abstract
This article investigates Latife Tekin’s novel Berci Kristin Cop Masallari from a double viewpoint: on the one hand, we want to demonstrate how this novel is a tale of marginality, pointing out the downtown/suburbs relationship; on the other – adopting an ecocritical approach – the article will focus on the role of garbage in the story, especially the constant exchange between human bodies and toxic agents.
