Call for Papers
LEA – Lingue e Letterature d’Oriente e d’Occidente
LEA welcomes new submissions every year for its miscellany section, Studi e saggi, and considers proposals for monographic sections and Quaderni di LEA in line with the journal’s profile and editorial planning.
Annual submissions for Studi e saggi are open from February until 8 May. Contributions received within this period are considered for publication in the issue released in December.
Studi e saggi is the journal’s miscellany section and welcomes original essays consistent with the scope of LEA, including research in literature, linguistics, philology, translation, and intercultural studies. Authors are encouraged to submit work that is clearly aligned with the journal’s scholarly profile and editorial standards.
Prospective contributors are strongly encouraged to consult the Archives in order to familiarise themselves with the journal’s range of topics, critical approaches, and publishing history.
Submission window
Contributions to Studi e saggi may be submitted every year from February to 8 May.
Editorial screening and peer review
The Scientific Committee carries out a preliminary selection. Peer review normally begins in May–June.
Publication
Accepted contributions are scheduled for publication in the annual issue of LEA, released in December.
Proposals for monographic sections and Quaderni
In addition to regular submissions for Studi e saggi, LEA also evaluates proposals for monographic sections and for Quaderni di LEA. Such proposals are considered in accordance with the journal’s editorial planning and must be fully consistent with its thematic orientation and scholarly aims.
Proposals should present a clearly defined topic, a strong scholarly rationale, and a convincing fit with the interdisciplinary and intercultural mission of the journal.
