This focus aims to contribute to the debate on digitalisation as a transition strategy, by advocating for the adoption of a 'just transition' perspective. This perspective aims to ensure equitable outcomes for various groups, individuals, and communities. The articles provide valuable research insights, proposes frameworks for rural development strategies, and empirically explores the challenges and responses of rural contexts and local actors.
