Abstract

E-leo. Archivio digitale di storia della tecnica e della scienza (www.leonardodigitale.com) was conceived and developed by the Biblioteca leonardiana at Vinci, a research and documentary centre specialized on Leonardo da Vinci, with the aim of supplying a more advanced resource for the study and analysis of Leonardo da Vinci’s works and of promoting the library collection. The e-leo experiment stems from the very particular nature of this collection, which includes the entire published corpus of Leonardo da Vinci’s works, starting with the first edition of the Treatise on Painting of 1651.
