Abstract
Engineering is certainly one of the many fields to which Leonardo da Vinci has given fundamental contributions. Here, it is briefly discussed why the Leonardo’s approach to engineering can still be seen as the educational model to which the Schools of engineering are inspired when designing their programs. Specifically, engineering students should first study science and then solve practical cases via rigorous techniques.
