Abstract

The paper analyzes Giovanni Bosco’s Preventive System as a model of generative welfare, focusing on the educational environment as a social infrastructure capable of countering educational poverty. Through a sociological reinterpretation of the Salesian tradition, the essay investigates how aesthetic care and collective musical practice (musicking) are not ornamental elements, but rather tools for empowerment and the promotion of social capital in marginalized contexts. The aim is to demonstrate that the quality of the relational and spatial setting represents a democratic prerequisite for educational equity, transforming the environment into an essential relational good for the construction of an active and inclusive citizenship.
