Abstract
The discovery of pre-Columbian Mexico was a crucial turning point for Josef Albers, which led him to develop profound and original reflections on art and architecture. His photographs, collages of prints and proofs, together with some of the works most influenced by his Mexican experience, can be observed with new eyes, so as to draw from them valuable lessons in the field of composition.
