Abstract

This article presents a critical reflection on the Casa de Caminha, built by Sergio Fernandez between 1971 and 1974 at the border between Portugal and Spain. A place for escape in which it is possible to rewrite the codes of dwelling: the spaces of domestic life lose their traditional definitions in favour of conviviality and the sharing of emotions; the bedrooms are not rooms but rather alcoves.
