Abstract
I propose here to analyse a peculiar tendency of Ledo Ivo’s poetics, namely his propensity to travel and a continuous and fruitful dialogue with his time and the greatest writers of world literature. In particular, special attention is devoted to the book Mormaco/Calima, published in 2011, shortly before his death in 2012. In this book, the lyrical I goes on a sort of pilgrimage to the places and works that influenced him most. The exegesis is of a comparative nature since Ledo Ivo’s typical poetry promotes an intense dialogue not only with the authors of Brazilian and Portuguese literature but also with those of other European liter1atures as a whole.Metrics
