Abstract

The study describes on AIDA figures, Bureau van Dijk, and it describe economic and financial performance of the Italian breweries. An application of the multivariate analysis identifies four-five factors and three homogeneous clusters that explain the differences and similarities in the economic and financial performance of Italian breweries. The results of the non-parametric convergence are able to compare the clusters relative to 2008 and 2012. This analysis confirms the hypothesis of a convergence of industrial and crafts breweries towards a common strategy and a financial position. In fact, the analysis of 11 fiscal indicators of 27 productive units, has shown that the Italian brewing sector has also resisted well in a period of general economic difficulty.
