Abstract

Online job ads are a timely and detailed data source that can be used to get in-depth information about occupations requested by employers, together with the related skills, and to monitor the time evolution of skills demand in the different occupations, even at a detailed territorial level. The paper describes the more recent dynamics in skills demand in Italy for two innovation-related groups of occupations, using a measure of skill change between 2019 and 2021 at the regional level.
