Abstract

Nell’installazione site-specific di Mike Nelson, il Palazzo dell’Agricoltore, svuotato di ogni funzione, è abitato unicamente da un reiterato accumulo di materie naturali, residuati dallo strappo e prelievo conseguente alla bonifica di un vasto terreno di campagna, raccolti e trasportati negli spazi interni e qui disposti nelle più diverse posture.

In the site-specific installation by Mike Nelson entitled The House of the Farmer, the Palazzo, emptied of any function, is inhabited only by a repeated accumulation of natural materials which were gathered and removed as part of the clearing of a vast plot of land in the countryside, then collected and transported to the interior spaces of the building and arranged in a variety of positions.
