Abstract

In this review I examine the research of Séverine Hubscher-Davidson about the deep and yet not enough analysed relationship between translation and emotion. While presenting the structure of the book, which focuses on the concept of emotional intelligence (in its aspects of emotion perception, emotion regulation and emotion expression), and referring the starting assumptions and the main results, I also point out some weaknesses of the volume. These can lead to a deeper reflection about what I call the “mask of methodology” and about some constraints of interdisciplinary research.
