Abstract
The Graziano Arici Archive, donated to the Fondazione Querini Stampalia of Venice, is a case study that epitomizes many of the theories proposed on the concept of photographic archives. This paper describes its composition and two of the forms through which the photographer has spread its knowledge: the digital archive created for professional purposes and a Facebook page. It then takes into consideration the issues related to its new status of cultural heritage and argues that it can play an important role as a source of ‘critical’ memory and help to implement studies in the history of photography.
