Abstract

Nel progetto di riconversione in museo della città del Convento de Jesus a Setúbal, João Luís Carrilho da Graça mette in luce la qualità del manufatto esistente, rilevando le misure del costruito e ‘sospendendo’ le nuove strutture a protezione di quelle antiche senza soluzione di continuità tra il tempo passato e il tempo presente.

In the project for the recovery and conversion of the Convento de Jesus into the city museum in Setúbal, João Luís Carrilho da Graça highlights the qualities of the existing building, surveying the measurements of the built and 'suspending' the new structures in such a way as to protect the ancient ones and maintain a continuity between the past and the present.
