Sei la mia città. Rigeneriamo Modena

Abstract

From September 2024 till March 2025, the Municipality of Modena undertook a participatory process designed to give voice to the local community, entitled “SEI LA MIA CITTÀ. Rigeneriamo Modena”, with the intention of launching a new phase of urban planning focused on limiting land consumption and, above all, aiming at working on the existing city, through urban regeneration. The initiative engaged citizens and city users, with the aim of fostering synergies, reflecting on urban spaces, and giving new meanings to public spaces, while bringing forward a clear framework of needs and priorities concerning the public city. The outcomes of the process - ideas and proposals to improve people’s quality of life and to build a shared vision for the city - provide guidance and reference points for the drafting of a public call for proposals, aimed at collecting urban regeneration projects, implementing the General Urban Plan of the Municipality of Modena.
