Abstract

The aim of this article is to provide an overview of the contribution of pragmatic sociology on a conceptual level and to attempt to bring its political implications to light. It is the link between, on the one hand, methods of description that aim to capture the social world “as close as possible” to practices and, on the other hand, the goal of understanding the dynamics of the politicisation of society that has led pragmatic sociology to display great conceptual inventiveness.
