Abstract

The idea of European belonging was, in these times, chronologically mystified at three conceptual levels of identification: as race, as citizenship, as a sacrificial community. This paper illustrates how this threefold conceptual framework has proved fallacious for the construction of the dogma of European identity and of the philosophical paradigm of liberal equality.
