Abstract
To offer a complete vision of the constellation of farmer associations is an enterprise that is both complex and, to some extent, unhelpful at the same time. The debate is ongoing, vast, and in many ambits still alive and fruitful. We do not specifically focus on any, as this would inevitably result in a biased portrait. We rather concentrate on sketching a small set of images, which together compose a 'spherical vision', as Michelangelo Caponetto would define it: a vision that features elements that positively orient the scenario, able then, we hope, to also shape visions and actions. We do so through the pen of Massimo Angelini that, in his Liguria mountain, committed himself - as he says in his latest book presenting himself - “to give breath and economic boost to local products, at least up to when they became part of a media bluff, new banalities of an insincere market” and “to support a moral primacy of traditional agricultural varieties, at least up to when they became the object of worship and ostentation by a new urban ideology”.Metrics
