Abstract
“The land of my dreams” is a research project of the working group of the CARTOLAB Laboratory of the University of L’Aquila, co-funded by the Gran Sasso - Laga National Park as part of the activities for the elaboration of the new Economic and social multi-year plan. The most significant action of the Project consisted in carrying out face-to-face interviews with inhabitants and local operators; the aim was to study the social and territorial potential of the National Park, in terms of social capital, expectations, hopes and “dreams” of its inhabitants. In about 4 months researchers, graduates, professionals and students travelled about 8,500 km to reach, in every corner of the Park, the people to interview. 428 people were interviewed among breeders, farmers, tour operators, representatives of various associations, mayors, forest agents, engineers, but also bakers, bartenders, barbers, artists...; several dozen hours of video recordings were made and hundreds of photos taken. There are over a thousand dreams collected. What to do with this treasure?
