Pierre-Louis Faloci. Scuola di Danza e Musica nel castello di Laboissière, Fontenay-aux-Roses, Francia

Abstract

Il progetto di Pier Louis Faloci per il castello di Laboissière a Fontenay-aux-Roses, si propone di rifunzionalizzare il castello e costruire delle strutture per la scuola di danza e musica, capaci mettersi in comunicazione le varie parti esistenti dell’antico edificio. Un progetto misurato, che con pochi elementi, alcuni ipogei, altri che emergono dalla terra, riesce a ricostruire un’ossatura per il corpo smembrato del castello. Quella di Faloci si propone come un’architettura della prossimità che sente e traduce in forma e spazio l’intorno e che riconosce nella stratificazione del paesaggio un valore primariamente progettuale.

Pier-Louis Faloci’s project for the castle of Laboissière in Fontenay-aux-Roses, proposes to ascribe new functions to the castle and to build additional structures for the dance and music school that establish a dialogue with the existing parts of the ancient building. A measured project which, using few elements, some underground and others emerging from it, manages to reconstruct a bone structure for the dismembered body of the castle. Faloci proposes an architecture of proximity that both senses and translates the surroundings into form and space while also recognising a primarily design value in the layering of the landscape.
