Abstract
Located in the historic fabric of Cáceres, where the ancient walls divide the city in two, the Helga de Alvear Museum of Contemporary Art, a ‘fragile’ white concrete structure, emerges from the solid historic architecture to foster a dialogue between the ancient and the contemporary, relying on the principles of both rootedness and abstraction, recognising them as ideal supports of the compositional process.
