John Hejduk e l’Architettura come costruzione di sistemi di pensiero

Abstract

L’articolo indaga e approfondisce la relazione tra immaginazione e realtà nel processo progettuale dell’opera di John Hejduk, attraverso l’analisi interpretativa del progetto per le Torri Botaniche nel Parco di Belvís a Santiago de Compostela (1991-2003), provando ad illuminare le relazioni e i sistemi di pensiero che si stabiliscono nell’incontro tra l’immaginario di caratteri architettonici concepito con la serie intitolata Masque, e la realtà concreta di una città patrimonio mondiale dell’umanità.

The article investigates and analyses in depth the relationship between imagination and reality in the design process of John Hejduk’s work, through the interpretative analysis of the project for the Botanical Towers in the Park of Belvís in Santiago de Compostela (1991-2003), attempting in this way to illuminate the relationships and systems of thought that are established in the encounter between the imaginary in architectural characters conceived as part of the series entitled Masque, and the tangible reality of a city that is a World Heritage Site.
