Abstract

Il processo di mediazione tra natura e artefatto resiste come uno dei capisaldi del ‘movimento scandinavo’ all’interno di una modernità, posata in equilibrio tra spirito funzionalistico e memorie che divengono destino, nell’applicazione artigianale delle osservazioni della Natura come territorio esperienziale. Il Wadden Sea Center risulta essere quindi un palinsesto celebrativo, informato da una serie di ipotesi progettuali che divengono interrogativi rivolti dall’architettura all’osservatore.

The process of mediation between nature and artifact resists as one of the cornerstones of the ‘Scandinavian movement’, within a modernity that lies in balance between the functionalist spirit and memories that become destiny, in the artisanal application of the observation of Nature as a territory of experience. The Wadden Sea Center is therefore a celebratory palimpsest, informed by a series of design hypotheses which in turn become questions addressed by the architecture to the observer.
