Uwe Schröder. La torre sul Rems a Plüderhausen

Abstract

Sulle catene montuose della valle del Rems si erge la cosiddetta «Torre delle nozze», architettura simbolica dedicata agli sposi di Plüderhausen, dove dalla metà degli anni ’90 le coppie, dopo il matrimonio in municipio, usano recarsi nel Streuobstwiese (prato con frutteto) per piantare un albero da frutto. La torre è un piccolo monumento dal valore di ‘soglia’ che segna un passaggio fisico ed esistenziale nel percorso compiuto dagli sposi.

The so-called «Wedding Tower» rises from the hills of the Rems Valley. It is a symbolic architecture dedicated to the spouses of Plüderhausen, where since the mid-’90s couples married in the town hall have the custom of visiting the Streuobstwiese (field with an orchard) to plant a fruit-tree. The tower is a small monument which represents a ‘threshold’, marking a physical and existential passage along the spouses’ life journey.
