Abstract

The heritage represented by movie theaters has been in gradual decline for some time now. The barbaric transformation undergone by many of these buildings over the years has caused, often fortuitously, the definitive loss of many of the most significant examples of this cultural patrimony. Only an informed awareness can and should guide the mindful restoration choices for preventing additional alterations and pillage.
