Abstract
This number is dedicated to Hölderlin. Starting from a variety of perspectives this issue aims to underline the main role of the German poet in the definition of modernity: from the marxist Lunačarskij interpretation to Böschenstein’s Celan- Hölderlin analysis. Other tipics are the problem of poetry in modern times (Mecacci), the “living” theme in Hölderlin, Nietzsche and Kant (Portera), the position of Kant’s aesthetic ideas in Hölderlin (Santini) and an overview of Peter Weiss’ drama Hölderlin (Castellari). The issue includes also a translation of Patmos hymn and two letters of 1798.Metrics
