Abstract

L’Eden Roc, progettato da Nello Baroni e Maurizio Tempestini lungo la via Bolognese tra il 1951 e il 1952, nasce come Ristorante Mille Miglia e traduce la cultura della strada in un’architettura della sosta. Due terrazzamenti curvilinei, logge, scale e terrazze trasformano il pendio in spazio abitabile, reinterpretando in chiave moderna la tradizione rurale toscana.

 

 

 

Eden Roc, designed by Nello Baroni and Maurizio Tempestini along Via Bolognese between 1951 and 1952, was conceived as the Ristorante Mille Miglia and translates the culture of the road into an architecture of pause. Two curvilinear terraces, loggias, stairs and terraces transform the slope into inhabitable space, reinterpreting the Tuscan rural tradition in a modern key.
