Abstract

La Plaza del Tenis di San Sebastián, progettata da Peña Ganchegui con le sculture di Eduardo Chillida, media tra città e mare aperto, costituendo uno spazio contemplativo. Le piattaforme in granito modulano la topografia, rendendo abitabile l’incommensurabilità della vista del Cantabrico e trasformando la tensione tra vasto e umano in esperienza sensoriale ed esistenziale.

 

 

 

The Plaza del Tenis di San Sebastián, designed by Peña Ganchegui to accommodate sculptures by Eduardo Chillida, mediates between the city and the open sea, becoming a space for contemplation. The granite platforms modulate the topography, rendering the boundlessness of the Cantabrian sea inhabitable and transforming the tension between humankind and the vastness of nature into a sensory and existential experience.
