Abstract
Drawing inspiration from Borges’s short story “The House of Asterion”, this paper analyses SOLUM Studio’s Patio House as a labyrinthine architecture that can only be experienced by traversing it. An introverted system of walls, open pathways and courtyards establishes a relationship with the landscape that is based on experience, culminating in the final revelation of the sea.
