Abstract
Dido solved the first isoperimetric problem in history by cutting an oxhide into strips, tying them together and surrounding with the resulting rope the portion of land where Carthage was to be built. However, Dido’s feat can be improved on, as can be shown by cutting an opening in a postcard in such a way that a person is able to pass through it.Metrics
