Abstract
Halide perovskites are a class of semiconductors which has gained considerable relevance in recent decades due to a wide set of applications ranging from photonics (laser and LED) to sensors (wide spectral range detectors) and energy harvesting (solar cells). This is a consequence of their unique physical properties and for the ease of the material synthesis/growth. Within the framework of a fruitful collaboration between researchers from the Department of Physics and Astronomy and INFN, intense research into the semiconductor synthesis, the investigation of the optical/transport properties and the device development is underway in Florence.
