Twenty years of spectroscopy from the ground and from space

Abstract

Spectrometry has always been one of the cornerstones of astronomical observation. At the Arcetri Observatory, spectrographic modules have been designed and built since the 1990s. The complexity of these instruments has grown over time, as have their size and performance, always maintaining the original idea and basic scheme, skillfully transmitted from one generation of researchers to the next.
