Abstract

Lunačarskij’s essay reads Hölderlin from a marxist point of view. According to Lunačarskij, who uses also some Pavlov’s ideas, the poet is the expression of his own time showing, in his tragic life course too, the economical and social dysfunctions of a whole historical period.
